 'Hichki' meaning 'Hiccup's ' is a 2018 movie which is an adaptation of Brad Cohen's 2005 autobiography 'Front of the Class :How Tourette Syndrome Made Me The Teacher I Never Had'. The film has Rani Mukherji in the lead role of an aspiring teacher having Tourette Syndrome, who must prove herself by educating a group of underprivileged students. (TOURETTE SYNDROME :is a common neurodevelopmental disorder that begins in childhood or adolescence) In the film a teacher Naina Mathur who has a B. Ed and M. Sc, cannot obtain a teaching job due to her Tourette Syndrome which causes uncontrollable sounds likened to hiccups. Despite facing many rejections from teaching profession her mother and brother backs her up unlike her father who does not value his daughter.  22 January 2021 This might be the last online class. Today first hour was Optionals where we discussed role of a teacher like a teacher should be knowledge builder, a facilitator, gardener, scaffolder etc... Then we had physical education taken by George sir where we did pranayama online. Sir gave tips on how to do pranayama properly. He asked for feedbacks of  his class where everyone gave positive feedbacks. Then Ancy mam took psychology class where we studied different stages of cognitive development in children by  Jean Piaget. This was something that we have witnessed in our life so it was easy for us to percieve. A good day full of positivity 🥰

 Today's class was awesome. First hour (9:00-10:00) was optional Deepthi mam discussed various qualities of a good teacher. Many points were added by us and then i got a clear idea of being an ideal teacher. Second hour (10:30-11:30) was psychology class by Ancy mam. We discussed certain terms related to developmental tasks such as scheme, assimilation, accommodation and discussed it by taking example of donkeys and zebra. Third hour (11:30-12:30) was philosophy class by Maya mam. We discussed different philosophical ideas of great thinkers and personalities related to education. We discussed idea of education from Upanishads.

 Today Joju sir started technology class by discussing  various advantages and disadvantages of technology. We all participated in the discussion and all were sharing ideas. A new student Fathima sang a beautiful song to energise the class. Everyone gave a thumbs up for her. From 10:30,we had Gibi mam for psychology class but she gave assignments to write as she could not take the class due to low internet.

Due to naac works, we were informed that for 3-4 days we will be having online classes. This was new to me as i had never been in an online class. From 9-10 am Ancy mam took  psychology class  by revising the chapter Growth and Development  and giving a class on how to create online certificates/ documents  on google documents. It was very informative. From 10:30-11:30am, Joju sir took technology class where he gave an informative class on  how to convert an mp3 file to mp4 and how to upload videos on our YouTube channel.This too was fantastic. From 11:30-12:30, we had optional class where Deepthi mam gave assignments to submit on next week.

 Today first hour was Gibi mam. She taught meaning of psychology, branches, scope, limitations and at last she demonstrated the power of our mind by making us meditate for 3 mins where we were told to imagine any thing and just do whatever you feel like.... That was a great activity to be aware of our mind's immense power. Then we had the inauguration of our college canteen. Cake were distributed making the inauguration sweet 🥰 Then we had Maya mam's philosophy class where she taught meaning of education and we got a new perspective of education. In the afternoon, optionals class was taken by Deepthi mam  gave a brief description on the curriculum of B. Ed course. We had physical education class where we played Dodge ball  and English optionals won the match beating our record. We gave cheer claps to them 👏👏

 Today  Maya mam taught us different styles of learning in General class. Our optional mam introduced us to the Library of our college. Looking forward to read books.... We played dodge Ball in physical education class Maths optional leads the game......👍 Full of energy, everyone were sweating..... Again an excellent day to remember........

 7th January 2021 Class started with Ancy mam taking general class. Then came the introduction of our classmates. The class was followed by Gibi mam with her energy packed activity for us, then came optional where we saw our maths class. Then our Joju sir taking technology class followed by a minor game for our physical education class.

6th January 2021 A new college, new course, new teachers, new friends all together the atmosphere seemed new to me... A positive bounded college campus made me happy. Our new course begun with Gibi mam welcoming us in absence  of our principal Benedict sir. Then we had the introduction of teachers and orientation classes where we learned about education (as a student teacher) and importance of time management. Lovely day with positive vibe.....😊
